The four stolen masterpieces
An armed gang has stolen four paintings worth some $160m (£82m) by the great painters Cezanne, Degas, Van Gogh and Monet from a museum in Zurich.

I don't understand art thieves at all, what are they going to do with the paintings? keep them in their basement?
A black market? So what if you have these paintings? You can't show case them anyways...

they can hang them up at home and tell people that those paintings are replicas...

What's the point of hanging up the real thing if you can't brag about it? Wouldn't it be easier just to buy replicas and hang them up?
