What a scary and sad news...

I can't believe what happaned in Montreal today. This world is becoming colder and colder. While i was reading the news from different sources, each on says different things. I was wondering how the guy could fired over 20 shots? What kinda gun did he have? If he had a small one, did he like switched to new bullets in between shots or something? Or did he have a big one that allowed him to shoot continuously? If that was the case, that would be freaking scary... how do people get their hands on these weapons? This was such a shocking and sad news, coz this could happen anywhere! On any campus! I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the news. God bless those who were at the scence and especially those who are still in the hospital.

it's hard to understand the origin of such aggression..... no matter how people (experts;doctors;etc) try to 'justify' the reason behind the violence (broken home; vicimization thru bulling and alienation......etc); i still could not comprehend how a human being is capable of such insane act.

ON the radio to work today, police announce that the guy is a 25 yr old men from LAVAL who lives with his mother (single parent?) and 'enjoys' violent video games. Now, this is a complex issue..... obviously the media is trying to portray the dude as a loner who grew up in a broken home and is probably messed up in the head thru the simulation games.... well, i for one, don't know if we could blame the video game industry (since i know many guys who 'enjoy' violent shooting games but are actually 'decent' men) .....i am not saying that i support those games either (the most 'violent' game i've played is called SUPER SMASHBROS by nintendo...).. Video games/movies/comic CAN be influential; nevertheless, we as human have to learn to separate fantasy from reality at some point of our lives.

And this happens at HOME. I truly believe that. Parents are the MOST IMPORTANT and probalby the FINAL FRONTIER in the fight against violence. No matter how academically strong your children are; YOU MUST TEACH THEM "VALUES". yes, teachers do some of those too... But Parents are the keys to the elimination of these nonsense that's been happening more and more.....
